the weekend

hey!
sry i kinda left ya hanging in the last post, but you know how i am about eating. neways. after we got there, we started the clinic at about 11:00 or so, and i was working with the kids at first, but it turns out that the kids either spoke only lugandan or only runyankore. so i decided, since there were some other ladies there that spoke thier language, that i would go see what my mom was doing. she was working with the dispensing, out of the back of the van, but no one had come all the way through. first they had to go to registration, then triage, then to see the doctor, then to the evangalism tent where they shared with the gospel with them, then to us where we gave them thier medicines. we saw about 175 people on friday. oh yeah, i almost forgot about food! yum yum yum. for lunch we had samosas(we ate these last time. they're like fried meat pies, but i don't think they had meat in them. actually i'm not sure what they had in them. i don't really want to think about it.), some kind of tortilla thing, but it wasn't called a tortilla and some other kind of bread. for dinner matoke(see previous posts), posho(see previous posts), rice(it was very grainy), beans(those were pretty good), g-nut sauce(see previous posts), and i think that was it for friday. other interesting things. the choe(i think that's how you spell it). that's a toilet. actually a wanna-be toilet. a hole in the ground. fun fun fun. also interesting. the guys. apparently the peppers girls(megen and kelly) have had quite an experience with the african guys too. an age range of i dunno a 9-year-old to a 16-year-old was hitting on me the entire day. that night we showed the jesus video and the worship team sang some songs. before the jesus movie me and my mom were being surrounded by those guys. one of them actually asked my mom "when is the time that an african boy can come to america to get a wife?" my mom said that they should finish school first. they did get my phone number and my address. the oldest one said that when he came to america he would find us. we couldn't even pronounce his name though. neways, friday night after the movie we found our tent and slept on the ground. sleeping wasn't that
