well actually, i never posted about thursday so i guess i'll talk about that first. thursday(after i posted, thought i hadn't posted, so i posted a post about how stupid i was, then i found out that the post did post, so i felt really stupid about posting...) adam pepper and i went to a pool with the minks(the other missionary family) kids: emily, 13, jared, 12, sarah, ?, and anna, baby. yes, there is one pool here. it's at a nice hotel kind-of place, and it was actually clean! i've heard that sometimes it's kinda green and it's not very good to swim in when it's green. neways, we swam, ordered a pizza at the hotel's resturant, waited an hour, got our pizza(yum.), played some pool(me and emily vs. adam and jared. we lost. majorly.), then walked back to the minks house. after we got back to the minks house mr.minks(aka barry) took us back to the church, because our parents were there for a meeting about the coming weekend clinic. after the meeting was over(it was relatively short.) we headed back home and packed up some more meds for the clinic, put stuff in the car, ate dinner and went to bed. that night was radically different than the next night. so about friday...........
everyone who was going on the clinic thing this weekend(my family, mrs.muzslay, larry and sally pepper(adam was sick), barry minks, carrie, debbie and a bunch of college students) met at the church at around 7:30 or so. we were supposed to be headed out at 8:00 on the dot, but naturally we didn't get on the road until about 8:15 or 8:20(hey, somethings are the same all over the world!). it was a two hour drive to leontonde, or more specifically Nakinombe (nachee-NOME-bay) where the clinic was going to be held. so we got to nakinombe at around 10:15 or so, set up all the stuff and in a couple hours the clinic was underway. there is no way i can describe this place. the church wasn't even made out of bricks. it was mud and straw. we were handing out the meds in the back of a van. dust everywhere. you can only imagine. i hope some of you reading this get to have an experience like this sometime. it was an amazing experience. i have lots more to write, but it's lunchtime and you all know how i love food, so i'll get back to you after lunch. ttyl, i miss you all!
