last day in mbarara, uganda!

sadness y'all! this is my last full day here in uganda!!! i can't believe that those two weeks went by soooo fast! so anyways....i guess i'll post about what i did thursday and friday:

thursday i chilled at home and helped andrew, adam and mr.forrester work on the benches. a couple hours after we started sarah and emily wilks came by to help us work on them. we sanded a bunch and then we put a couple benches together. we were supposed to make twenty for the church we went to last weekend in nakinombe. TWENTY!!!! i was sure that we weren't going to get it done. but you'll have to wait until i tell you about friday for the rest of the story. at like 3:45 kari picked me up to go storying with her. storying is where they go out to a village and they have a set of pictures that tell a bible story and someone tells it, someone holds the pictures and someone interprets the story into the people's language(run-yan-kore). we told a story about the creation of the spirit world(angels and demons). it was pretty interesting some of the questions that the people were asking. anyways, we got done with that at about 6:30 and kari dropped me off at the church, where adam and andrew were teaching guitar stuff. that was really funny, cuz andrew and this other guy(dennis) were playing the blues, and then dr.pepper started singing!!!!!! o man, good times good times! then, i don't know if you all know the story about amanda harris' baby blanket in oaxaca, but neways, here's the story about melissa russo's bunny rabbit: a lot of kids were doing that "a call to grace" bible study by david nasser and it advised you to give away something that was very important to you. so melissa decided that she should give away her stuffed bunny rabbit. since we were going to africa, she gave it to us to give to some little kid here. so we found this one little girl, and when i say little i mean little! this girl was named gift, and we decided that that was the little girl we needed to give it to. so thursday night we gave it to her. we got some great pictures. then, thursday night we did the bible study thing, and yeah. so friday........

we got up and started working on the benches. and we worked. and we worked and we worked! and surprisingly we got all twenty benches done! sanded, built and varnished. well actually we only got 11 of the second coats on, but that's all we have left to do! after we finished the benches we chilled. worked on the banner, ate dinner, then we went to the church for tgif, the friday night students program. we played guitar for a while. me and emily taught this one guy some of the stuff we knew. fun fun fun. at tgif mr.forrester spoke about being an astronaut and stuff. after tgif while we were waiting for all the adults to come andrew and adam decided to play basketball. lets just say, they only made a few baskets in, and i laughed. the sad thing is that i was probably just as good as them. haha, not really. well neways.

today we are going to do some last minute stuff and pack for tomorrow. we're leaving the pepper's house at 6:30 AM. fun fun fun. well i guess i should go!!!! i miss you all sooooo much!!!!!! ttyl!!!!!
